Project CARAT (Coordinating and Asssiting the Re-use of Assistive Technology in Kentucky) is a three-year federal grant program to make assistive technology and medical equipment more accessible to individuals in Appalachian Kentucky. Project CARAT is partnering with agencies across the state. It takes donated equipment, cleans it, makes repairs if we need to, and then redistributes it to people who need it. If you live in rural Kentucky and need equipment, or have equipment you'd like to donate, please let us know! Although the federal grant is focused on Appalachian Kentucky, Project CARAT will attempt to fill requests for equipment from anywhere in the state. For more information, please visit projectcarat.org/ or call the KATS Network at 1-800-327-5287.

I have a neighbor who is on disability and he lost his hearing aid on the bus. he has never found it. He is having such a hard time communicating with people because since his hearing loss he always had a hearing aid. He is not literate in sign and can (sometimes) watch your mouth to communicate. Do you have any resources to help him get a hearing aid?
