Project CARAT (Coordinating and Asssiting the Re-use of Assistive Technology in Kentucky) is a three-year federal grant program to make assistive technology and medical equipment more accessible to individuals in Appalachian Kentucky. Project CARAT is partnering with agencies across the state. It takes donated equipment, cleans it, makes repairs if we need to, and then redistributes it to people who need it. If you live in rural Kentucky and need equipment, or have equipment you'd like to donate, please let us know!
Although the federal grant is focused on Appalachian Kentucky, Project CARAT will attempt to fill requests for equipment from anywhere in the state.
